Infectious diseases are of great importance for ruminants, for animal health itself (since farm animals are kept in groups, infectious diseases can spread rapidly) but also for human health (since certain diseases, so-called zoonoses, are transmitted between animals and humans). In our research, we deal with issues both with currently relevant infectious diseases and with well-known diseases for which important questions are still open.
